2 Months

*disclaimer: yes these are almost a year old. I've had them saved on my computer forever, just never posted. Need to have them for memories ;)

Everett
Weight: 11 pounds 12 ounces
Height: 23 1/3 inches
Milestones: Sleeping through the night!
Sleep: At about 6 weeks we started putting them on a schedule for naps. Everett is doing ok. He sleeps pretty good for the first 45 mins. and then when he switches sleep cycles he has a really hard time going back to sleep.
Eating: Has finally decided that he LOVES to eat! He had a slow start, but just can’t get enough now. He pretty much wants to eat immediately after he wakes up and really doesn’t like to wait around for it or for sister to finish. Makes for fun times. J
Best Moment: First time he smiled at us! Melted our heart!…Everett was also diagnosed with reflux at his 6 week dr. apt., and the medicine has made such a huge difference! He is finally consolable and enjoys eating much more.
First: Smile!
Extra: Towards the end of the 2nd month when we really started to get them on a good schedule, I was finally able to handle the twins alone and didn’t have to have my mom or mother in law come over to help everyday. It was such a good feeling to be able to handle them alone.

Emery
Weight: 9 pounds 6 ounces
Height: n/a in hip brace
Milestones: Sleeping through the night
Sleep: Started a schedule for naps at about 6 weeks and Emery does pretty good with them. Sometimes she wakes up after 45 mins. but for the most part does pretty good.
Eating: She is still an eating champ.
Best Moment: The first time she laughed! It was such a soft little sound :)
Worst Moment: Getting the Pavlok Hip Harness put on for her hip dysplasia. We feel so blessed to have a dr. that caught her hip displasia early on so it can be fixed while she is so young and wont remember. BUT it was really hard to have to put her in it. I cried the whole dr. apt. She has to wear it for a total of 3 months, 24/7. We can’t even take it off to give her a bath. L I already miss seeing her sweet legs. I am SO glad that it is summer though so she can wear dresses that cover it up! Time to go shopping!
First: Smile and laugh! They both made me get butterflies they were so precious! Celebrated Mothers Day!
Extra: Got the Wombie! A friend told us that their baby started busting out of the swaddle around this time, but knew that they still needed to be swaddled so tried the Wombie. So we thought we would give it a try. AND we LOVE it! Life changing! The second we put them in it they know it’s sleepy time to relax and get ready to go to sleep. :)
