Welcome!

Welcome! Well as of today (November 17, 2007) we have been married for 3 weeks. I figured this would be a great time to start our blogging experience. I'm not really into journaling our scrapbooking, so thought maybe this would be the way for us to go.

We have been having a blast with married life! Since I have lived in our house since July, and Josh has been working in it since then, I didn't think that there would be a huge change for us. BUT, there as been! It has been SO amazing! Everyday I am so ready to come home and see Josh. It feels as if I haven't seen him for over a week, and am going to die if I have to wait any longer. Over dramatic I know, but I guess that's what everyone often refers to as the "honeymoon" period.

We, really just me I guess, are really excited about the next week. This weekend really is the first weekend that we've had to actually settle in and just be together. Right after we got married we left for our amazing honeymoon in Mexico, then returned at 10:30 PM, and I had to be at school with a bright smiling face the next morning at 7:30. That whole week I really felt like I was just playing catch up at work since I had been out all week. So by the time I got home I was exhausted. Then that Friday we flew out to Galveston for Lauren's beautiful wedding and returned late on Sunday. Then this whole week I have had to conduct 20 parent conferences in 3 days. Now if you are a teacher then really understand that this is no easy task. So needless to say I am so excited about having this whole Thanksgiving week off.

Our house has really just been a dumping ground for the past 6 months. Anything from wedding gear, wedding presents, to Josh's painting stuff, and tools. So this week I am so excited to actually get our house in place. I can finally put all our gifts away, rather then having them take up our whole formal dining. We can finish painting the master bath, and go by furniture for the bedroom. Finally stop sleeping downstairs in the Master, but have to run upstairs to take a shower and get dressed, since that's where all of our clothes are. Paint over the montage of "tan/khaki" paint samples that currently take up 2 of our walls in the living room. And last but certainly not least, decorate for our FIRST CHRISTMAS!! So as you can tell I have a busy week ahead of me, but I'm so excited!
Side note: I'll add some more picts from the wedding, honeymoon, house, etc. soon!
